Croatia from the air

The US space agency NASA recently published a fascinating photo taken from the International Space Station. Besides Italy, which looks like a ‘boot’, the background of the photo shows Croatia as well. Astronauts made this photo on the 21st of October.
On it we can clearly see some of the larger Italian cities and even a small black circle near Catania – which represents the Etna volcano. Unlike the Italian splendor, across the Adriatic Sea Croatia is in almost complete darkness. The two brighter places in Croatia were Zagreb and Split.
