Arancini are traditional Dubrovnik home made sweets made from oranges. A favourite in winter months people like to prepare them for Christmas and New Year for when guests call round to visit.
– Orange (as few or as many as you like)
Peel the oranges and cut the skin into thin strips. Place in water to soak for a few days. Boil in water and then drain. Then weigh the orange strips and ad an equal amount of sugar and drop of water to the pan with the orange and cook, stirring the mixture until it begins to boil. Allow to drain and then sprinkle with sugar. Air dry.
