ELLE RECOMMENDS: Dubrovnik Artist Katarina Ivanišin Kardum’s Unmissable Exhibitions in Milan!

Two exhibitions by painter Katarina Ivanišin Kardum, titled Naturales Quaestiones, have opened in the historic center of Milan last week.

The Naturales Quaestiones project focuses on contemporary landscape and is divided between two Milanese institutions: the Stelline Foundation and the Natural History Museum. The exhibition curators, Alessandra Klimciuk (Stelline Foundation, Milan) and Snježana Pintarić (MSU, Zagreb), have organized the exhibitions, which will remain open until July 23, 2023. Ivanišin Kardum continuously explores nature through thematically and media-diverse cycles, and holds a prominent position in the contemporary Croatian art scene.

With the Naturales Quaestiones project, Katarina Ivanišin Kardum presents her works to the Italian and international audience in two prominent exhibition spaces in the historic center of Milan. The Stelline Foundation showcases her cycle of paintings titled “Isto nebo” (The Same Sky), presented for the first time at the Museum of Contemporary Art in May last year. At the Natural History Museum, one of Milan’s most visited museums, artworks from her series “Ptice” (Birds) are on display, inspired by her long-term collaboration with the Natural History Museum in Dubrovnik.

It’s worth noting that the exhibition by Ivanišin Kardum was ranked first on the list of the ten exhibitions to visit in Italy in the Italian edition of “Elle Decor” magazine.
