The traditional concert on the occasion of the World Tourism Day, organized by the City Tourist Board and the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, will be held this Thursday, September 27th in front of the Church of St. Blaise @ 7 pm.
The Gypsy jazz band Gadjo Manouche will perform with Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Marc Tardue, and will bring us unique interpretations of the great Djanga Reinhardt and other gypsy jazz / swing performers. Our celebrated jazz singer Maja Grgić, winner of Porin and many others professional awards, will perform with them. The combination of gypsy jazz ensemble and symphony orchestra is a rare occurrence in the world, and arrangements for this concert were made by the trumpeter of the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, Damir Butigan.
